Brent Housing Action meets (roughly) every two weeks, at Mencap (379-381 High Road, Willesden, London, NW10 2JR). Check the calendar to find out when we are next meeting and come along!

  1. I’d like to be put in touch with any residents groups that help leaseholders affected by regeneration plans within the borough please.

I run a Property Consultancy which works completely in Compulsory Purchase, representing residents. As well as having my own home CPO’d in the past, I used to work for a company that built CPO’s. I now have the expertise to either break them up or negotiate far better deals for leaseholders than are normally offered. I’m one of only a handful of Chartered Surveyors in the country who do this as their main area of work. For example nearby, I recently submitted about 400 pages worth of objections to a Compulsory Purchase Order in West Hendon. I’ve also recently represented hundreds of owners across the city in negotiations over sale terms.

Under CPO law, the Council are required to pay for fees for someone like me to help leaseholders so my service won’t cost my clients.

I’m happy to come along to any residents meetings to introduce myself if that would be the preferred way.

    My number is 07901 666078

    Dan Knowles

  2. We’ll see how it works out Dan. Brent Housing Action appreciates your housing network.
